After a hard battle with cancer, Kelly Jo Mumah, 61 of Big Rapids, joined her parents, Ben F. and Betty (Skahan) Mumah in heaven. On Sunday, November 13, 2022, she passed in the company of her daughter, Kathie Ladner of Big Rapids and her wonderful caregivers, Debbie and Vickie. Kelly was born on October 3, 1961 in Stanwood and graduated from Morley-Stanwood High School. Along with Kathie, she leaves behind her sons, Kraig Carter of Kansas City, Missouri and Sterling Carter currently overseas serving in the U.S. Army. Also surviving Kelly are her beloved grandchildren, Nolen, Benny and Mikkah; sisters, Judy (Alvin) Garnett of Morley, Cindy (Alan) Leyder of Big Rapids, Kim Mumah of Morley; and her brother, Ben (Jan) Mumah of Big Rapids. As per her wishes, Kelly has been cremated. A celebration of life will be announced at a later time with a more detailed obituary.
