Kathryn L. "Katie" Gunn, age 65 of Morley, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2007 at her home. She was born June 6, 1942 in Uniondale, IN to Roscoe and Maxine (Smith) Rupel. In 1981 Katie married Thomas Gunn. Together they made their home in Morley where they owned and operated Gunn and Sons Excavating. Katie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Morley. Her church, friends and family were the greatest joys of Katie's life. She is survived by; Her loving husband, Tom of Morley 8 children; Deb (Bob) McCourt of Big Rapids John Inskeep of Morley Kim (Mike) Colby of Stanwood Matt (Cherity) Robinette of Morley Lori (Tom) Altman of Hudson, FL Tammy Moran of White Cloud Deb Steffes and Tom (Meridith) Gunn Jr. all of Morley 19 grandchildren, 12 Great-grandchildren Her mother; Maxine Rupel of Markle, IN 2 brothers: Fred (Margaret) Rupel of Georgia Ted (Laurie) Rupel of Bluffton, IN 2 sisters: Pat (Steve) Brown of Markle, IN Susan Schafer of Apopka, FL and many extended family members. Besides her father, Katie was preceded in death by a sister; Joyce Hipscher, an infant brother; James Rupel and an infant grandson Reese Robinette. Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 7th at the First Baptist Church in Morley with Pastor Steve Finn officiating. The family will greet friends on Thursday, Sept. 6th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in Katie's name may be made to the First Baptist Church in Morley.
