Kathleen "Kathy" Hayter-Beck, age 70, died unexpectedly Thursday, December 8, 2022 in Big Rapids. She was born March 6, 1952 in Highland Park, the daughter of Ronald and Edna (Ellison) Hayter. Kathy was an outgoing and loud person who enjoyed staying busy. She enjoyed doing a variety of arts and crafts and loved Betty Boop. Kathy had a big heart and loved everyone she met. She will be missed by many. Kathy is survived by her children, Michael Hayter, Robert Goryl, Alisha Bott, William (Rebecca Gaunt) Beck; long-time friend, Deborah Benson; siblings, Mary LeGault, Paul Hayter, Tracy Machleit, Dorothy Wheelock, Jeanie Thomas; special friend, Tom Lucha; four grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Helen Hayter. A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2023.
