Katherine Johnson, 58, of Mecosta, MI, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Spectrum Health Big Rapids. She was born on June 23, 1955 in Huntington, WVA, to George and Glena Jean Webb. She graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1973. Katherine moved to Mecosta from Texas in 1987 where she has resided ever since. Kathy leaves behind one son Jayson (Shelly) Johnson Sr. of Reed City; six beloved grand children, Seth, Christian, Jayson Jr., Caleb, Lexy and Jaylee Johnson; her beloved mother, Glena Jean Webb; two dear sisters, Carolann Webb Keith and Brenda (Ron) Wernette all of Mecosta; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Kathy was preceded in death by her father Rev. George Webb in November and a niece Georgina Ann Keith in June. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton.
