Karen Sue Hylton, age 62 of Hersey passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012 in Cadillac. She was born on December 21, 1949 in Saginaw, MI to James F. and Maybelle E. (Chapman) Bowen. On March 28, 1970 Karen married Ronny Hylton in Flint. They made their home in Detroit before moving to Hersey where they have resided ever since. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, reading and spending time with family and friends. Karen is survived by her husband Ronny Hylton, two daughters, Lisa (Christopher) Whitehead of Hersey and Christine (Earl) Yeager of Big Rapids; four grandchildren, Dylan, Autumn, Cheyenne and Joseph; six brothers and sisters- in-law who loved Karen like she was their own, Michael Lee Hylton Sr. "Grizz" of Evart, Randy (Linda) Hylton of Alabama, Janice Young of Evart, Helen Hylton of Flint, Littisha "Tish" (Clifford "Sonny" ) Hill of Sears, Teresa Hylton of LeRoy, and several nieces, nephews and close friends. Besides her parents Karen was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Harlan Bowen, Evelyn Bowen, Maclyn Bowen and Marilyn Lawrence. Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Riverside Park in Evart.
