Karen A. Brierly-Reagan, age 68, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021. She was born April 11, 1953, in Warren, MI, the daughter of Edward and Elaine (Bradley) Spear. Karen graduated from Cousino High School in 1971, and lived her life in the Warren, Waterford and Auburn Hills areas. Most recently she had made her home in Reed City to be near her daughter. Karen was a caregiver her entire life; she worked as the activity director in several AFC Homes and in the same capacity for the Girl Scouts of America. Near the end of her working career, she was providing in home care. Karen is survived by her children, Shannon (Tony Butler) Kelley of Reed City; Derek (Christina) Brierly of Waterford; 5 grandchildren, Isaac, Gavin, Lindsey (Zachary Cousineau), Brenna and Adelle; one great-grandson Edward; sister, Christine (Jack) Daugherty of Waterford; several nieces, nephews; the father of her children, Chris Brierly; and her extended family the Meader and Reagan family. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, 1100 Lone Pine Road, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oakland County Animal Shelter.
