June L. Minier, age 86, of Chippewa Lake, MI passed away, unexpectedly on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at her home. She was born on May 6, 1930 in DeWitt, MI to Virgil and Mildred (McCune) Sample. On December 14, 1951 she married Raymond E. Minier in Lansing and they made their home and raised their family in DeWitt.

June retired from the State of Michigan and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in DeWitt, Big Rapids Eagles Aerie #2535 and Big Rapids AmVet Post #1941 Auxiliary.

June loved to cook and prepare food for her family. She is survived by three children, Richard (Linda) Secord of E. Lansing, Rae Gene (Jerry) Frederickson of DeWitt and Randall (Pamela) Minier of Big Rapids; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and many extended family and friends. June was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Minier in 2014; and grandson Randall Minier Jr. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with the family greeting friends two hours prior from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Chippewa Lake Cemetery.
