Obituary

Julia Ann Dutcher, age 66 of Remus passed away at home Wednesday, November 25, 2009 with her loving family at her side. She was born October 14, 1943 in Flint, MI to Glenn and Phyllis (Mercier) Owen. While living in Midland Julia met and married Robert Dutcher on April 13, 1962. They made their home in Midland before moving to Remus in 1974. In 1981 the Dutcher's ran the Horr Store. Julia enjoyed to knit, cross stitch, crochet and do needle point. She was blessed to be a loving and caring homemaker and was an excellent cook. Julia is survived by the family whom she adored; her devoted husband of 47 years Bob, beloved children; Rex (Angie Loomis) Dutcher of Weidman, Dawn (Tony) Chapin of Remus, 9 Grandchildren who will miss her cooking; Joshua VanSickle, Micaela Pardee, Bryan Dutcher, Nichole (Dutcher) Davis & Linzy, Cortney Dutcher, Mariah Dutcher, Ethan Randall, Samantha Chapin, and Erin Chapin, Great-grandchild Lily Dutcher, 4 sisters; Gail (Dale) Dutcher, Darlene (Edward) Bates, Linda (Robert) Nohel, and Terri (Mark) Lodes, several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Julia was preceded in death by her parents and grand parents. Funeral services for Julia will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2009 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with Pastor David Price officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Weidman. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Nov. 28th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Donations can be made to Woodland Hospice in Mt. Pleasant.
