Judith A. Woody, age 70, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 09, 2007 at her home near Stanwood. She was born December 28, 1936 in Grand Rapids to Leonard and Evelyn (Texter) Dykstra. Judith lived in Grand Rapids for many years and was retired from General Motors. She was a spiritual person, a faithful Catholic her entire life. Judith lived for her family. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother and will be forever missed by; her seven children: Pam Goebel, Kelly (Tom) Chrisman, Kathy (Mark) VanDriel all of Grand Rapids, Karen (Kevin) Phillips of Saugatuck, Kenneth (Norma) Woody of New York, Dawn (Curtis) Durst of Morley and Jill (Tom) Brown of Stanwood, 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren sister; Audrey Woody of Grand Rapids and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Judith was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth. A memorial Mass will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 13th at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 628 Diamond NE, Grand Rapids. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services at the church.
