Joyce S. Mumah, age 63, a lifelong resident of Morley, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, February 8, 2008. She was born September 28, 1944 in Big Rapids to Lloyd and Marion (Boerma) Loree. Joyce graduated from Morley-Stanwood High School in 1962. She was an active and involved member of Morley community. Joyce followed in her father's footsteps as the Aetna Township Clerk serving for 30 years. She retired in 2004. Joyce is survived by her loving family. Her three sons; Roger (Jennifer) Mumah, Russ (Shelly) Mumah, Rex (Sharon) Mumah all of Morley,Her grandchildren; Dallas, Sam, Nicole, Charles, Nathan, Kristin, Chad, River, Summer and many nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Shorty Mumah and 2 brothers; Donald L. and Floyd K. Loree. Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Philip Bongard officiating. The family will greet friends today, (Monday) from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Spring burial will be at the Aetna Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Joyce's name may be made to the Morley Rescue Squad or Home Hospice in Big Rapids.
