Joyce Carol Eisenhart was born on November 30, 1928 in Royal Oak to Charles and Elsie Blackman. They were blessed with two daughters, Joyce and Patricia and one son, Charles. Joyce was confirmed in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and was a member of Our Shepard in Birmingham, MI; where she served 15 years as a school secretary. Joyce married John Eisenhart on July 23, 1948. They were blessed with three daughters, Connie, Cathy, and Debbie, and a son, John.
Joyce and John moved to Canadian Lakes on June 17, 1987. Joyce served as church secretary at Chapel of the Lakes, was president of the Dorcas Guild, a member of Social Ministers Board, and the altar guild. She served as social activities and secretary of the Canadian Lakes Association. Joyce was also a member of the personnel committee, interviewing candidates for the first manager of Canadian Lakes.
Joyce is survived by her four children, six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her sister, Pat of Naples, FL. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John; her parents; and brother, Charles Blackman.
Our Lord graciously took Joyce home on Friday, February 4, 2022 at the age of 93. Joyce will be laid to rest at Highland View Cemetery in Big Rapids to await the Resurrection call of our Lord Jesus Christ on that Great Day.
Memorial Contributions may be sent in Joyces name to Chapel of the Lakes Lutheran Church or Altercare/Speret Hall Alzheimers Wing.
