Joy S. Abdulla, age 52 of Barryton passed away unexpectedly at her home. Joy was born on October 30, 1957 to Franklin and Elsie (Gorwer) Sheldon in Detroit, MI. She moved to the Barryton area in 1993 where she has lived ever since. Joy enjoyed fishing, her beloved grandchildren and her dogs Titan and Penny who she called "Baby Girl". She was known to be very generous. She is survived by her two sons: James Haislip of Warren and Adul M. Abdulla of Barryton, two daughters; Samira (Bashar) Sharhan of Fresno, Calif. and Heather Abdulla of Vestaburg, four grandchildren; Chelston, Damien, Zacariah and Peyton, father Franklin J. Sheldon, five siblings; Frank Sheldon Jr., Cynthia Sheldon, Victoria Plevienski, Joseph Sheldon and Gay Teno, many Aunts, Uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Elsie and a brother Kenneth Sheldon. A time of remembrance will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. In lieu of flowers donations in Joy's name can be left at the funeral home.
