Joseph "Dick" Sager, age 81, of Morley passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at his home. He was born July 14, 1926 in Bradner, Ohio. He is the son of the late Herbert and Ruth Sager. In 1950, he married his loving wife, Virginia who passed away August 1, 2007. He is also preceded in death by a brother Robert, a sister Cory Davy and a new born daughter Cindy Lou. Surviving are his daughters, Teresa (Gene) Peterson, of Morley and Sherry Smith of Arlington, Ohio, grandchildren; Kevin Loman, Jennifer (Kevin) Jones, Renae Peterson, Randall (Laura) Springer and Sean Springer, great-grandchildren; Haven, Izaak, Dylan and one on the way. He also has several nieces and nephews. Dick was honorably discharged from the United States Navy serving in WWII. He retired from Ohio's Auto-Lite in 1973. After moving to Michigan, they built Ginny's Coffee House, in Rogers Heights in 1979. Dick and Ginny owned and operated it until 1990, when they sold the business. Dick loved spending time with family and friends, camping, traveling, hunting and going to the casino. He will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 14th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with family friend, Reverend William McDaniel officiating. Burial will be at the Stanwood Cemetery with military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post #98 honor guard.
