Joseph A. Orweller, age 68 of Barryton, formerly of Ovid, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Mecosta County Medical Center in Big Rapids. He was born July 8, 1941 in St. Johns the son of Joseph W. and Marion A. (Horn) Orweller. Joseph graduated from St. Johns High School. He entered the service and was honorably discharged from the United States Army. Following the service Joseph settled in St. Johns where he worked for many years as a self employed contractor. Following retirement, Joseph moved to Martiny Colony in Barryton where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved to bowl and shoot pool. Joseph had been a member of the Eagles Club in Owasso. He is survived by his five sons, Joseph Lee (Cheryl) Orweller, Steven W. Orweller, Jerry R. (Melissa) Orweller, Ronnie A. (Shelley) Orweller all of Ovid and Donnie E. Orweller of St. Johns; 6 grandsons; 7 granddaughters; 1 great-grandson; A brother, Robert (Bonnie) Orweller of Tubbs Lake; 3 sisters, Shirley Mae Orweller of Barryton, Charlene Bellingar of Ashley, Patricia Greenfield of Owasso and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place Noon on Friday, September 11th at the Barryton Church of Christ. Memorial contributions in Joseph Orweller's name may be made to the Barryton Church of Christ.
