Joseph W. Hubbard Sr., age 80 of Evart, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 at his home. He was born in Reed City on January 19, 1943, the son of Jack and Bessie (Watson) Hubbard. Joseph married Marsha Hubbard on June 3, 1985 in Evart. Joseph was a Drilling Superintendent for over 50 years. He was an easygoing, happy gentleman that enjoyed driving his side by side. Joseph loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be missed by many. He is survived by the mother of his children, Susan Hubbard; children, Joseph W. Hubbard Jr. of Evart, Elainna S. (Bob) Hemenway of Evart, and William A. Hubbard of Reed City; his late wife, Marsha Hubbards children that were his own at heart, Shelly L. (Mikey) Ripley of Reed City, Beth A. (Craig) Robinson of Chase, Shannon M. (Scott) Kozitzki of Sears, Amanda M. (Jeremiah) Wiltse of Evart, and Brent A. (Brieanna) Hemenway of Evart; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Ida) Dewitt of Sears; sister, Wiladeen Dewitt of Reed City; uncle, Franklin Watson of Lake; sister-in-law, Ronda Hemenway of Evart; and many nieces and nephews. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; wife Marsha Hubbard in 2018; granddaughter April; great-granddaughter Willow; brother Samuel; daughter-in-law Teresa Hubbard; sister-in-law Sheila Dice. Josephs wishes were to be cremated. There will be a Celebration of Life will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11399 5 Mile Road, Evart, MI 49631.
