John W. Richmond Jr., age 86 of Stanwood, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. John served in the United States military with both the Navy and Airforce. He retired after 23 years and settled in the Mecosta area. John was a member of Saint Michael Catholic Church in Remus and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by five children, Julie (John) Mayer of Remus, Kim (Robert) Knight of Milford, Craig (Kelly) Richmond of Elwell, Tammy "Sam" Foster of Mecosta, Christopher (Lori) Richmond of Mecosta; 40 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Phyllis Lobert Richmond, an infant daughter, Ann, a son, John Richmond III, a son-in-law, Chuck Foster, two grandchildren and one great-grandson.
