John "Jack" Kenny, 75 of Barryton, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2007, in Lansing. He was born April 5, 1932, in Lansing to Leo and Nellie (Flannery) Kenny. On May 20, 1950, John married Beverly J. Borring in Lansing and together they raised their family. John worked as an inspector at the City of Lansing for over 30 years. After retiring 1987 they moved to Barryton where John enjoyed sharing his good sense of humor with others. John is survived by five children who will miss spending time with their dad: James L. (Patricia) Kenny of Lansing, Pamela S. (Reuben) Waggoner of Lansing, Steven A. (Sue) Kenny of Lansing, Nancy A. Rice of Battle Creek, and Jeff S. Kenny of Lansing, he also has 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will continue to hold the memories they have of Jack close to their hearts. Besides his parents John is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Bev on February 3, 2006, one son Brian J. Kenny, and 3 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2007 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with Father Joe Fix officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home Saturday, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in John's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
