John A. Jamieson, age 62, a lifelong resident of Barryton, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at his home following a battle with gallbladder cancer. He was born June 25, 1955 in Lakeview, the son of John and Gladys (Brown) Jamieson. John graduated from Chippewa Hills High School in 1974. He married Christy "Cricket" Robinson on September 24, 1982 and together they raised their family in Barryton. John was a jack of all trades and talents. John was employed by Randall Manufacturing as a foreman for many years and also owned and operated a construction and building company. He enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing, hunting, and farming. John loved spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. John is survived by his wife of 35 years, Christy Jamieson of Barryton; two children, Kari (Doug) Dalrymple of Barryton and Christopher (Lanette) Jamieson of Sears; four grandchildren, Cody, Destiny, Hunter, and Isabell; brother, Bobbie (Kay) Jamieson of Mecosta; several nieces, nephews; his extended family, Steve & Lori Helmer, Dave Helmer, Jeff & Linda Helmer, Nancy & Ken Loll, and Lester & Linda Cramer; and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Chad and Adam; and brother, Eugene Jamieson. A memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, June, 11, 2018 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service Monday at the Funeral Home.
