John Raymond Dennis passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at his home in Mecosta with family at his side. He was born on February 19, 1960 in Lakeview and attended school at Chippewa Hills. Three days shy of graduating he joined the United State Army. He was honorably discharged in 1978. John was a builder in Michigan and took his skills to build in New Mexico for several years before returning home to Mecosta. John is the loving father of three children, Stephine (Duane) Brown, Rebecca (Chris Carson) Dennis and John (Keri) Dennis; doting grandfather to four grandchildren, Melodi & Anthony Brown, Christian Martinov and Cruz Carson; son of, Barb Dennis and brother of, Bill Dennis III, James Dennis, Deb Dennis, Penny Cour and Donald Dennis. John was preceded in death by his father William "Bill" Dennis II. Friends and family can meet at the Mecosta VFW Hall for visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. A service will follow the visitation at 2p.m. at the VFW Hall. Memorial donations in Johns name can be made to Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton.
