IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Wayne
Carman
April 30, 1941 – November 24, 2021
John W. Carman of Mecosta, Michigan, passed away on November 24, 2021 at the age of 80. His beloved wife Bonnie Carman and their family were at his side.
John was born in Lakeview, Michigan, in 1941 and graduated from Mecosta High School in 1959. Soon after graduation, he married the love of his life Bonnie Kowalk on September 10, 1960. They enjoyed 61 years of marriage together while raising four children along the way. John spent 42 years working at Electrolux / Frigidaire until he retired in 2003.
John and Bonnie loved road trips, visiting places, and spending their anniversaries in St. Ignace. John could often be found working in his garden or putting in food plots to support his passion for deer hunting. When John wasnt hunting, fishing, or playing on his tractor, he enjoyed his time indoors watching the Detroit Lions and studying genealogy.
John will be remembered as a dedicated family man with a one-of-a-kind sense of humor. There wasnt a man prouder of his family. He enjoyed all the time he got to spend with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His love was unconditional and will be missed dearly.
