Obituary

Jody Lynn Clark, amazing wife & mother, loving daughter, & dedicated friend joined Jesus in heaven Thursday, September 9th, 2010 with family and friends by her side at Butterworth Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids after complications from a brain tumor. She was 40 years old. Jody was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on July 14th, 1970. Daughter to Joan Segerstrom- Gossett. She resided in Cooks, MI attending Bay De Noc High School, followed by Bay's Community College. Jody moved to Big Rapids to attend Ferris State University, believing she was only going to get a degree in Business Administration and a minor in CIS. As she worked, and received her degree, her greatest dream was unfolding; her heart was swept away by James T. Clark II whom she married on August 31st, 1996. The pride and joys of her life, their triplets, Matthew, Hailey, and Jordan blessed their lives in 2000. Jody was loving, hard-working, dedicated, and loyal. She adored her family and spent most of her spare time, when she had any, swimming and having movie nights with them. She loved helping others, spending time with friends, enjoying crafts and kayaking. She was a member of Resurrection Life Church, where she volunteered beside her husband as the pre-school coordinators. She also volunteered at Oasis, the women's ministry. Jody was a key volunteer for the Toys for Tots campaign each year in Mecosta/Osceola counties. Her gentle, loving nature brought joy to many children. Jody was currently working at Fluid Rotating Solutions as a Secretary/Human Resource Assistant in Big Rapids. Jody is survived by her husband, James T. Clark II, her three children, Matthew, Hailey, & Jordan, her mother, Joan Segerstrom-Gossett, her grandmother, Lorain Segerstrom, Uncle Ray Segerstrom, uncle George Segerstrom & wife Diane, aunt Gale Wetzel & husband Rick, 2 nieces, 2 nephews, 5 cousins & 2 in-laws, and mother-in-law Barb Paul. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Tony Karns at Resurrection Life Church of Big Rapids Tuesday, September 14th at 11:00 a.m. Visitation located at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids Monday, September 13th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to Resurrection Life Church, 14734 215th Avenue, Big Rapids, MI 49307. Thank you for all of your love, support, and prayers. Psalms 33:22 "Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone."
