JoAnn Colley, age 64 of Big Rapids, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 15, 2018. She was born August 11, 1954 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, the daughter of William Sr. and Betty (Bates) Tittsworth. After graduation from high school, she married Rex Colley on August 14, 1971; together they made their home in Big Rapids. JoAnn was a stay at home mom and lovingly raised her two children. When they were grown, she began her employment with J.C. Penny. JoAnn later retired from the Mecosta County Commission on Aging. She enjoyed oil painting, antiquing, animals, fishing, and camping. JoAnn loved her family, children, and grandchildren and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Rex Colley of Big Rapids; two children, John Colley of Reed City and Renee (Eric) Earle of Barryton; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Tittsworth Jr. of Sidney; several nieces and nephews. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Connie Buffin. A memorial gathering will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Big Rapids AmVets Post 1941.
