Joan M. Howey, age 72 of Morley passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008. She was born September 8, 1936 in Wyandotte to William and Edna (Dulmage) Whitlow. Joan is survived by 4 children; Kerry MacDougall of Davison, Kristy (Mark) Thompson of Morley, Matt Howey of Morley, and Mark (Debbie) Howey of Nebraska; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Frank Whitlow of Stanton and Jack Whitlow of Lake Orion; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack on June 24, 2000. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5th at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. The family will greet friends today, (Thursday) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Friday. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Joan's name may do so to their local Humane Society.
