Joan W. Duquesnel, age 92 of Paris, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at her daughters home. She was born July 4, 1928, in New York City, the daughter of George and Lilie (Govers) Wildung. Joan graduated from Hunter High School in New York. She then attended Hunter College where she earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nutrition.
Joan married Harold Duquesnel on November 4, 1951, and together they raised their family in New York, New Jersey, Michigan, and Illinois. Joan and Harold returned to Michigan following retirement. She loved taking care of her four children, they were her priority. Joan looked forward to spending time with her family. She also enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.
Joan is survived by her four children, George (Adoree Miron) Duquesnel of Delton, Irene (Ken) Kasbohm of Paris, Paul (Sally) Duquesnel of Novi, Edward (Melanie) Duquesnel of Northville; 12 grandchildren, Mitchell and Peter Duquesnel, Brant (Kristie) Kasbohm, Joseph (Jennie) Kasbohm, Greg (Eva) Kasbohm, and Mark Kasbohm, Danielle (Eric) Kella, David (Brittny) Duquesnel, and Dana (Brett) Carpani, Amanda, John, and Michael Duquesnel; ten great-grandchildren, Mark and Ronnie, Colter and Ray, Alexandra and Dylan, Aria and Ellie, Oliver, and Kane; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold Duquesnel in 2014, and brother George Wildung.
Memorial contributions in Joans name may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
Due to COVID, a memorial service will be planned for a later date.
