Jewel A. Gallop, age 73, died peacefully Thursday, April 28, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born July 24, 1948 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Harold and Wilma (Dustin) Bowers. Jewel was an excellent cook. She enjoyed spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren. Jewel was an animal lover who cared for many cats and dogs throughout her life. She had a passion for writing poems and had one published in a newspaper. Jewel gave unconditionally and never expected anything in return. She was a devout Christian her whole life. She is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years, Charles "Chuck" Gallop of Morley; children, Mark (Amanda) Oswalt of Cedar Springs, Marcia (Cliff) McMullen of Reed City, Michael (Laurissa) Oswalt of Morley; siblings, Rose Bowers, Judy (Clayton) Brimmer, Leonard (Barb) Bowers, Sandy (Tom) Vernon; sister-in-law, Arlene Bowers; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
