Jerry M. Krum, age 76 of Morley, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018. He was born June 14, 1941 in Carson City the son of Merle and Cleo (Mangus) Krum. Jerry graduated from Morley Stanwood High School in 1960. He married Donna Sharp at the Higbee Church on October 1, 1960 and they made their home in the Morley area. Jerry worked as an electrician and retired from Electrolux in Greenville. He volunteered for the Mecosta County Sherriffs Posse and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jerry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Donna; four children, Brian (Brenda) Krum of Mecosta, Kim (Troy) Johnson of Ruskin, FL, Naomi (Glenn) Cawley of Saginaw, Jeri Jo (Daniel) Rolston of Howard City; 13 grandchildren, Tony (Jodi) Gatehouse, Nick (Sara) Schoner, Sarahmae (Dennis) Howe, Keri (David) Ruhling, Jayson (April) Krum, Bill (Brianne) Krum, Heather (Josh) Matthews, Danny (Sarah) Matthews, Robyn (Jake) Jones, Adam Cawley, Elizabeth (David) Scarborough, Cody (Heather) Ellison, Kailey (Luke) Ellison; 14 great-grandchildren, Damian, Lillian, Lylla, David, Jaedyn, Myli, Emmalie, Emilee, Parker, Zane, Cheyanne, Arabella, Henry, Miles; 2 brothers, Larry (Diane) Krum of Stanton, Richard (Bonnie) Krum of Capac; mother-in-law, Helen Sharp of Mecosta; sisters-in-law, Carol Krum of Mt. Clemens, Joyce White of Mecosta, brother-in-law, Richard (Barbara) Sharp of Mecosta, several nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Terry Krum, father-in-law, Arnold Sharp, brother-in-law, Larry White, nephew, Jeff Godbold and good friend, David Louck. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Richard Taylor officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 26th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be at Higbee Cemetery near Morley.
