Jerry H. Koehn, age 63 of Mecosta, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2007 at his home. He was born April 17, 1944 in Stanwood to Frederick and Wilma (Hollenbeck) Koehn. Jerry graduated from Kenowa Hills High School. He was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam Era. He was a graduate of I.T.T. Technical Institute. Jerry made his home in both Grand Rapids and Mecosta County. He had worked as a truck driver and a tool and die operator until serious health problems prevented him from doing so. Jerry especially enjoyed watching drag racing, air shows and raising pet snakes. He is survived by his loving family, including; His fiance: Shirley Narloch of Mecosta Four daughters: Tammy Sue (Steven) Jordan of Swartz Creek Tammy Lynn (Justin) Koehn of Marion Maria Koehn Cedar Springs Lindsey Koehn of Grand Rapids 8 grandchildren: Andrea, Chelsea, Kendra, Jerry, Courtney, Zachary, Keegan and Amerie His mother: Wilma Beak of Big Rapids A brother: Rick (Bonnie) Koehn of Sparta A sister: Marlene Porter of Stanwood and several nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his father: Frederick "Fritz" Koehn. Funeral services will take place 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 22nd at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Gerald Switzer officiating. The family will greet friends today (Saturday) from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Interment will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Stanwood Cemetery.
