Jerome "Jerry" Hernandez, age 92 of Rodney, passed away at his home Saturday, November 11, 2023. Was born September 19, 1931 in Colorado City, TX, the son of Tanisiado and Carmen (Lobario) Hernandez. Jerry was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1954. He was an avid fisherman and loved to spend time on many lakes in the area. Jerry loved to tend to his garden and take care of his yard. In his free time, he enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and watching westerns. He will be missed by all who loved him. Jerry is survived by his son Bob Hernandez; granddaughters, Kayla, Alysa; great-granddaughter, Aria; several siblings; best friend; Edna Wahl and family; special friends, Gary and Karen Gunnink; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Trudy; and several siblings. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
