Jeremy L. Krikke, age 39 of Big Rapids formerly of Grant, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, March 21, 2014. He was born May 9, 1974 in Fremont, the son of Terry Krikke and Nancy Nelson. Jeremy graduated from Grant High School in 1992. He married Julie Tharp on October 24, 1998. Together they made their home in Holland where they began their family. Jeremy was employed by Ranger Tool and Die in Walker for 17 years. He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, and shooting guns. Every year Jeremy looked forward to deer camp with his brothers and son Austin. He cherished the time he spent with his children, especially goofing around with Sarah, which he loved to do. He also enjoyed rebuilding his 1985 Chevy truck with his son Austin. He adored his dog, Tucker and was loved dearly by his nieces and nephews. Jeremy recommitted his life to Christ and attended Big Rapids Assembly of God. He will be forever missed by his entire family; including his children, Austin and Sarah Krikke of Big Rapids; his mother, Nancy Nelson of Big Rapids; grandmothers, Joan Krikke of Grant and Helen Nelson of Sparta; brothers and sisters, Ryan (fiance Nicole) Krikke of Bailey, Melanie (Dan) Dunn of Howard City, Chris (Brandy) Krikke of Big Rapids, Nick (Nina) Krikke of Rodney and Alyssa Schoen of Big Rapids; nieces and nephews, Jasmine, James, Jaden and Lilyana, Chance and Annabelle, Mason, Dawson, and Pierson and Dawson; fiance, Brenda French of Rodney; mother and father-in-law, Les and Judy Tharp of Holland; Bernie and Laura Robeck and family. Jeremy was preceded in death by his father; Terry Krikke, and grandfathers, Milton Krikke and Harry Nelson. The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 25th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Big Rapids Assembly of God with Pastor Kris Richardson officiating. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Grant. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Jeremy's name to the BRAG Missions.
