Jennifer L. Maginnis, age 47 of Big Rapids, passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 23, 2018 with her loving family by her side. She was born September 12, 1970 in Big Rapids the daughter of Gordon and Julia (Williams) Knopf. Jennifer graduated from Big Rapids High School in 1988 and then attended Ferris State University for a time. She married Donald Maginnis on October 21, 1995 in Big Rapids. Jennifer began her working career as the Deli Manager at Dennys Supermarkets in Big Rapids. For the past several years, she was employed as a preschool aide for both St. Peters Lutheran School and St. Mary Catholic School. Jennifer was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Big Rapids. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother and forever missed by her precious family. Jennifer is survived by her husband, Don Maginnis; her two daughters, Lauren and Leah Maginnis all of Big Rapids; her mother, Julia Knopf of Big Rapids her brother, Jim (Jenny) Knopf of Paris and many other beloved family members. Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Knopf; her grandparents, an aunt and several uncles. In Celebration of Jennifers Life, the family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 28th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
