Jeffery S. Taylor, age 49 of Big Rapids, passed away Monday, August 31, 2015. He was born January 29, 1966 in East Grand Rapids, the son of Gerald and Betty (Freiberg) Taylor. Jeff graduated from White Cloud High School in 1984. On October 13, 1990 he married Cheryl Stafford in Rockford and they eventually made their home in Big Rapids. Jeff enjoyed the outdoors; especially bow hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of nearly 25 years, Cheryl Taylor of Big Rapids; one son, Chancey Taylor of Big Rapids; three sisters, Julie Chobod of Morley, Jodi Taylor of CA and Ada (Rick) Shaw of WA; beloved in-laws, Wes (Elaine) Stafford; brother-in-law, Jim (Jennifer) Stafford and several nieces and nephews. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2015 at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
