Jeaunnetta Evelyn Simons, aged 89, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on May 1,2010. Jeaunnetta passed at Altercare after a long battle with Alzheimers. She was born in Parkerton, Wyoming on June 2, 1920 to Almon D. and Goldie E. (Munroe) DeGrew. She married Melvin Day in 1937 and later married Frank Simons of Barryton, Mi. in 1943. Jeanunnetta is survived by a son Milton (Judy) Day of Big Rapids, Mi., a daughter Mary C. Podvebsek of Green Cove Springs, Fl. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. Jeaunnetta was pre-deceased by husbands Frank Simons and Robert Gilbert and one son Melvin Day Jr. Cremation has taken place and interment will be at Flake Cemetery in Barryton, Mi.
