Jeannine Iva Conners, age 85 of Stanwood, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021. She was born July 30, 1936 in Rockford, MI, the daughter of John and Ferna McIntyre. Later the family moved to Stanwood, which is where she met Richard, her husband of 65 years. On Richard's family farm they raised their two children, Vicki and Greg. Grandchildren were her pride and joy. So many weekends were filled with tents being made anywhere in the house. Her most cherished times were whenever all her kids and grands joined to share a birthday or holiday meal. To her these were little family reunions. Her hobby was watching her favorite Hallmark movies and laughing with The Golden Girls. Jeannine always wore a smile and was known for her wit and silly humor. She is survived by her husband Richard, who gave her such loving and attentive care; her daughter, Vicki Lodden of Big Rapids; her son, Greg and his wife Cindy Conners of Rockford; 3 grandchildren, Kelli (Elliott) Wisthoff of Tennessee, Elizabeth (Zachary) VanSickle of Grand Rapids, Ryan (Bri) Conners of Rockford; 4 great-children, Christopher and Anderson VanSickle, Harlow and Aelin Conners and 1 to arrive in July of 2022; 1 sister, Linda (Rob) Wheeler of Rockford; 3 brothers, James (Janet) McIntyre of Big Rapids, Steve (Judy) McIntyre of Big Rapids, Gary (Suzanne) McIntyre of Morley; several nieces, nephews; her life-long friend Eileen Walker of Minnesota and a beagle mix named skippy. The family will plan a celebration of Jeannine's life next summer at School Section Lake Park on her birthday, July 30, 2022.
