Jeanette I. Doxtader, age 92 of Big Rapids, passed away at her home, Wednesday, July 10, 2024. She was born September 11, 1931 in Aurelius Township the daughter of Russell and Estella (Goodman) Hill. Jeanette married Merwin L. Doxtader on September 17, 1949; they made their home in Eaton Rapids and in Big Rapids for the past 40 years. She is survived by her husband of nearly 75 years, Merwin of Big Rapids; a daughter, Diana Shooltz of Big Rapids; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Kay (Stanley) Leonard of Holt, Rheda (Richard) Ried of Mason; many nieces and nephews. Jeanette was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Neusse and three sons, David, Douglas, and Danny Doxtader. A Graveside service will take place 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 16th at Pine Plains Cemetery in Big Rapids.
