Jean E. Wyant, age 85, of Remus passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the Isabella Co. Medical Care Facility in Mt. Pleasant where she has resided the last four years. She was born on October 12, 1925 in Wheatland Twp., Mecosta Co., Michigan to Lyle and Mary (Randall) Sigourney. On September 19, 1942 she married Wilbur F. Wyant of Winn. Jean was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #442 of Remus/Six Lakes and New Hope United Methodist Church in Mecosta. Jean is survived by five loving children: Lyle (Connie) Wyant of Remus, Roxann (Jim) Simon of Mecosta, Rebecca (Larry) Stephan of Reed City, Lindy (Don) Adsit of Mt. Pleasant and W. Dale (June) Wyant of Hebron, Indiana; one sister Connie (Carl) McQueen of Remus; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Art Sniff, husband Wilbur Wyant in 2004, brothers Bob and Bill and her sister Eloise "Polly". A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at New Hope United Methodist Church in Mecosta with Pastor Vic Charnley officiating. The family will greet friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
