Janice R. Johnson age 77 of Stanwood, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at home with her loving family at her side. She was born December 4, 1939 in Morley the daughter of John and Marietta (Coan) Arndt. Janice lived the majority of her life in the Morley Stanwood area. She earned her nursing degree in 1977 and later was employed by the United States Postal Service retiring after 17 years of service. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Johnson of Stanwood; three daughters, Colleen Johnson of Grand Rapids, Pat (Bill) Lee of Morley, Michelle (Guy) Mack of Grand Rapids; two daughters-in-law, Julie Johnson of Lansing, Michelle Johnson of Howard City and many beloved grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Janice was preceded in death by her three sons; Kevin Johnson, Dennis Johnson, Randy Michael Johnson; five brothers; Jack, Selmer, Frank, Lawrence and Richard Arndt and three sisters, Marie Shafer, Eileen Francis and Shirley Woods. Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Crossroads Worship Center, 9530 Federal Road, Howard City with Pastor Brad Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at the Aetna Township Cemetery in Morley.
