Janet K. White, age 76, died peacefully Monday, May 1, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 18, 1946 in Alma, the daughter of RG and Hazel (Rickman) Ingersoll. Janet was very creative. She loved to write short stories, poetry, and was a wonderful painter. She enjoyed being outdoors, spending time in her flower or vegetable garden, taking long walks to identify stones, and going horseback riding. Janet was a brilliant cook; she liked to fish and share her love of Native American culture. She had a strong faith in God and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her sweetheart, Gene Thompson; children, Carrie Miller, Patrick Proctor, Floyd (Tammy) Smith; sister, Jewel; grandchildren, Kailey, Forrest, Steven, Patrick, Tristen, Trevor, Troy; a number of great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and Ramona who was like a daughter to her. Janet was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Charles Proctor and Mark White.

Memorial contributions may be made in Janets name to Hospice of Michigan.

A Memorial Service will be planned for a later date.
