On Thursday, September 17th, 2026, Janet Rose Toppel of Big Rapids, Michigan passed away at the age of 82, with her family by her side. She was born on September 23, 1943 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Irene (Joe) Totten, and Johan Kramer.

Janet is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Henry Toppel, her children, Sherri (Jeff) Westen, Henry Jr (Tara) Toppel, her grandchildren, Anne (Adam), Kristy (Tim), Meredith (John), Melissa (Jason), Justin, Lacey (Scott), Joey, and 14 great grandchildren.

Janet will be remembered for the love she gave and had for her dogs, the memories she created, and the special place she held in the hearts of her family. Janet's family would like to give a special thanks to Corewell Health Hospice for the care she received during her final days. To honor Janet's wishes, there will be no services held at this time.
