Janet M. Harder (Navarre), age 72, of Stanton formerly of Evart, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Gratiot Medical Center in Alma. She was born on October 13, 1939 in Mecosta Co., MI to Raymond and Mildred (Cummings) White. Janet was born and raised in the Barryton area before moving to Evart in 1979. She graduated from Barryton High School in 1957. Janet was an active member of the Barryton Church of God where she was the pianist for over 25 years, sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. Janet enjoyed traveling in her fifth wheel across the country and spending time in Iron River. She loved music, fishing, camping and gardening. Janet is survived by four children: Bryan (Cindy) Navarre of Stanton, Mark Navarre of Amasa, Darcy Corey of Linden and Julie Wehrly of Farwell; two sisters, Lucille (Harold) Vincent of Canada and Beverly (Horst) Kozitzki of Rodney; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Janet was preceded in death by: her parents, Raymond White and Mildred (Fred) Hoffman, a son Dave Navarre and her husband Bruce Harder. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28th at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the Barryton Church of God. Interment will be at Flake Cemetery in Barryton. Memorial donations in Janet's name can be made to the Red Cross.
