Janet L. Burman, age 67, of Paris went to be with her Lord, Thursday, February 28, 2008 at her home. She was born a child of God on November 21, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan to John and Virginia (Miller) Phillips. She graduated from Redford Union High School in 1959 and married David LeRoy Burman, November 12, 1960. They made their home in Oakland County where they raised their family. Janet was the travel and cashier manager for AAA Insurance from 1963 to 1996. In 1996 they moved to the Nirvana/Chase area and in 2005 made Paris their permanent home. Janet had a passion for helping others and enjoyed working for Hope Network (Triplex) in Big Rapids. She was a dog lover and took pleasure in reading, crocheting, canning, candy and cake decorating, gardening and decorating when she was able. Janet was a caring and compassionate women who is survived by two children: Jennifer (Brad) Narloch and their daughter Kayla of Evart Eric (Stacey) Burman and their children Emily, Katie, Abi and Zachary of Ortonville, Grandson: Justin Burman of Paris, Great-grandson; Coldon J. Burman who knew her as G-G, Son-in-law: Matthew Mac of Reed City, Two brothers: John (Dorothy) Phillips and William "Bill" Phillips, lifelong friends Flo and Jim Niestroy, brothers-in-law Don (Nadine) and Dick (Carol) Burman, her cockatiel Nikki and several Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband David on December 31, 2007 and daughter Vonnie Mac on May 10, 2007. Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 3, 2008 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Tim Fagan officiating. The family will greet friends on Sunday at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Monday. Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery in Reed City. Memorial donations in Janet's name may be made to the Benevolent Fund at The Church of the First Born in Reed City.
