Jane Anne Hodges, age 82 of Paris, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022, at her home. She was born in Flint on June 27, 1939, the daughter of Sheldon and Fern Anne (Desjardens) Potter. Jane Anne graduated from Mandeville High School in 1957. She married her high school sweetheart on April 27, 1958. Together they raised their family in Flint before moving to Paris in 1970. Jane Anne was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary St. Paul Catholic Community of Big Rapids and previously of St. Anne Catholic Church in Paris. She volunteered to organize and assist with luncheons and dinners with the church, was a dedicated member of Right to Life, and the St. Mary Guild. Jane Anne also took the time to visit and pray with residents of nursing homes in the Mecosta and Osceola Counties for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother that passed on her talents to her family. Jane Anne took pride in her cooking and taught her five boys how to become wonderful cooks as well. She had a passion for photography and was always found with a camera in her hand. She had a green thumb and tended beautiful vegetable and flower gardens at her home. Jane Anne enjoyed knitting and sewing for her family. She is survived by her husband of nearly 64 Years, Larry of Paris; five sons, Stephen (Lisa) of Canadian Lakes, Chris (Leesa) of Blanchard, Daniel (Lila) of Cedar Springs, Paul of Canadian Lakes, and Anthony (Laura) of Buffalo, New York; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jane Anne was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Gary and Thomas Potter. A Mass of the Resurrection will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at St. Paul Campus Church in Big Rapids with Father Jegar Fickel officiating. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 14th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Jane Annes name to Meceola Currie Comfort Home, Attn: Melissa McMellen, PO Box 61, Paris, MI 49338.
