Jane Ellen (Rice) Guldi, age 70 of Denham Springs, Louisiana formerly of Howard City, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017. She was born February 28, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Beverly Duffy. Jane graduated from Union High School and earned an Associates Degree in cosmetology.

Jane was a loving mother raising her five children and was very active in her grandchildrens lives. She was a hairdresser for 33 years before she retired. Jane attended the First Baptist Church in Morley, was a member of the American Cancer Society and the Denham Springs Council on Aging. She enjoyed music, dancing, and walking her dog, Murphy.

Jane will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Jane is survived by her four children, Deonna (Alvin) Didaskalou Cannon of Denham Springs, Louisiana, Dawn Marie (Gary) Neidhardt of Mount Vernon, Ohio, Melby (fiance Angela Timmer) Millirans of Grand Rapids, and Lillian (Alan) Henning of Montrose; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six siblings, Melba Winright of Morley, Martha Harper of Grand Rapids, Sandra Harper of Morley, Tricia Harper of Big Rapids, Jerry Harper of LeRoy, Dana (Carl) Velting of Morley; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George Arthur Didaskalou, son Gregory Allen Didaskalou, and brother Charles Harper.

Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2017 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Steve Finn officiating. The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 27th at the funeral home. Jane will be laid to rest at Aetna Township Cemetery in Morley.

Memorial contributions may be made in Janes name to the First Baptist Church in Morley.
