Jamie K. Harvey, age 44 of Big Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at his home. He was born March 5, 1975 in Bedford, Pennsylvania, the son of Keith Harvey and Betty Jackson. Jamie married Misty Marrs on July 2, 2005 and together they raised their family in Big Rapids. He was employed by Wolverine World Wide for 18 years until his health declined due to cancer. Jamie enjoyed music; playing his guitar and singing. He collected Star Wars memorabilia, played video games, and he looked forward to riding his recumbent bicycle. Jamie is survived by his wife of nearly 14 years, Misty Harvey of Big Rapids; son, Drake Harvey, who lives at home; mother, Betty Jackson of Evart; sister, Theresa Harvey of Evart; two brothers, Branden (Kim) Harvey of Midland and Willie (Cynthia) Harvey of Oil City; father-in-law, Timothy (Mary) Marrs of Coral; five brothers-in-law, Tim Marrs, Brandon Todd, Rocky (Amber) Mims, Jessie (Elizabeth) Prescott, and John Nelson; five sisters-in-law, Bobbie (Chris) VanWestrienen, Sara (fianc Eric) Whipple, Brittany (fianc Chris) Whipple, Tina Whipple, and Juanita (fianc Jeremy) Whipple; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Keith Harvey; son, Branden Harvey; mother-in-law, Darcy Marrs; and maternal and paternal grandparents. Funeral services will take place 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2019 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with President Joe Magistri officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service Friday at the Funeral Home. Following the service, family and friends are invited to a luncheon and time of fellowship at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1325 Woodward Avenue, Big Rapids, 49307.
