Obituary

James Harley, age 86 of Stanwood, passed away Friday, May 25, 2007. He was born June 29, 1920 in Glasgow, Scotland to Charles and Elizabeth (McKinnie) Harley. James became a naturalized citizen in 1943. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army serving during World War II. James had made his home in Mecosta County for nearly twelve years. He is survived by his son, Charles (Valerie) Harley of Stanwood Two grandsons; Joseph James (Teresa) Harley of Big Rapids and James Herman Harley of Howard City Four great-grandchildren; Kayla, Trenton, Tyrese and Tesa. Besides his parents, James was preceded in death by a son; David Harley. The family will greet friends at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids on Tuesday, May 29th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Parkview Cemetery in Livonia.
