James D. "Jasmo" Buffin, passed away peacefully, Monday, August 20, 2007 at his home, after a battle with cancer. Jim was born December 26, 1950 in Grant Center where he lived his whole life. He was an ace mechanic and welder. Jim loved motorcycling (especially the summer trips), his grandchildren, teasing everyone and having fun. Jim is survived by his wife of 38 years, Connie and his sidekick, Tillie the dog Children; Leanna (Pete) Carlson and children; Alex and Megan of Hersey, Dude (Lynn) Buffin and their children; Michael, Ryan, and Gracie of Grand Ledge, Matt Buffin and his children; Calvin, Kimmy, Brandon and Gavin of Grant Center, Sisters; Barb Buffin and her children; Anissa and Spencer of Grant Center Joyce (Andy) Womack of Paris Jolene (Rod) Swiger and daughter; Miranda of Evart Dena (Brian) Freiberg and children; Lynan and Patrick of Big Rapids and a brother; John (Mary) Buffin and children; Bobbie, Jake and Nathan of Paris. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Dorlin and Mary Jane and both sets of grandparents. Cremation has taken place and the family will greet friends at a Memorial Luncheon, Thursday, August 23 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the Grant Center Town Hall. Memorial contributions in Jim's name may be given to his family.
