James L. Bowers, age 66 of Morley, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 at home. A lifelong resident of Mecosta County, Jim was born February 18, 1956 in Big Rapids the son of Kenneth Sr. and Marian (Shepard) Bowers. He was very handy and could fix most anything. Jim held several jobs during his working years, including driving truck for Sacket Potato and working for Greenville Steal. His family described him as a Jack of all trades and master of none. Jim will be remembered as a people person. Jim kindly gave everyone a chance. He enjoyed getting together with family and friends and he loved to fish. Jim is survived by his mother, Marian Bowers; two daughters, Krystal Harris and Jennifer Almy all of Morley; step-sons, Greg (Danielle) Clark of Barryton, Josh Clark of Morley; several grandchildren; two sisters, Jennie (Mark) Derby and Cynthia (Michael Sr.) Marrs all of Morley; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his favorite dog Max. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Bowers Sr., three brothers, Kenneth Jr., Robert and William and a great-niece, Jennie Bell Lynn Bowers.
