Jackie Lindstrom, beloved wife of Charles Lindstrom, and loving mother of Karen Lindstrom and predeceased daughter, Pamela Lindstrom Brodsky, and grandmother of Christine Lindstrom, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024. Jackie lived a wonderful Christian life with husband, Chuck, for nearly 65 years. She played in the church bell choir for several years. They were High School sweethearts and married in 1959. They were both graduates of Lincoln High School in 1958. Jackie worked several office positions to help Chuck attend and graduate from Michigan State University. They resided and lived in the East Lansing area, Oakland, California, Albion, and Holland. After retirement they resided in Stanwood and Canadian Lakes. Jackie loved animals and the outdoors. She owned several horses and enjoyed horseback riding. She raised and trained her favorite dogs, golden retrievers. She showed dogs in the obedience ring and tracking dog trials. She won many blue ribbons and trophies during those times. She also assisted many others in dog training. Jackie was also into music, having several guitars and harmonicas. She enjoyed taking lessons, playing and teaching her girls to play. As a family, she loved camping, boating, hiking, and traveling the United States, and other countries. After retirement, the couple spent 25 plus years wintering in Englewood, Florida. She is preceded in death by her daughter: Pamela; mother: Christine; father: Wesley Betts; stepfather: David Hoffman; and brother: Ted Betts. She is survived by her husband: Chuck; daughter: Karen; and granddaughter: Christine. Jackie had been a resident of the Brook Assisted Living in Big Rapids. She had been under care of Michigan Hospice for the past six months. Jackie will forever be remembered as a caring and loving wife, the best mother anyone could have, devoted Christian member of Northland Global Methodist Church, and an ultimate caregiver to her family. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, 11:00 A.M. at Northland Global Methodist Church, Stanwood. The family will receive guests from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
