Jack W. Hautala, age 90 of Barryton, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023. He was born in Flushing Township on June 3, 1933, the son of John and Maddie (Higden) Hautala. Jack was honorably discharged from the United States Marines in 1953. He then began his employment for General Motors and retired as Quality Control Inspector after 30 years of service.
Jack married Bonita Bacon on May 1, 1984 in Edmore, where they made their home for 15 years. They decided to move to Barryton to enjoy life on the river. Jack liked hunting, fishing, boating, and yard work. He was also a talented singer.
Jack is survived by his wife of 39 years, Bonita of Barryton; three daughters, Kimberly (Bruce) Cunningham of Las Vegas, Kathy (Dave) Mendoza of Tennessee, and Kelly Hautala of Las Vegas; five stepchildren, Marvin Jr. (Peggy) Loisell of Sand Lake; Christopher Loisell of Flint, Anthony Loisell of Holly, Scott Loisell of Lake Station, and Connie (Larry) Weatherall of Sand Lake; his sister, Florence Walling of Flushing; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-son David Loisell, and 6 siblings.
