Jack "Jeff" Cluchey, age 59, of Chippewa Lake passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at his home. He was born on July 19, 1956 in Big Rapids to Jack and Mary (Dosenberry) Cluchey. Jeff graduated from Chippewa Hills High School in 1974. On May 3, 1980 he married Cheryl Rudd in Perrinton, MI. They made their home in Chippewa Lake where they raised their children. Jeff owned and operated Cluchey & Son Service Center from 1989 until 2005. Jeff was always ready to have a good time and over the years he looked forward to tractor pulls and enjoyed the opportunity to fabricate many things. Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Cheryl; two children, Jill (Jonathon) Nellis and Greg (Miranda Nichols) Cluchey both of Rodney; two grandchildren, Kaylie and Mackenzie Nellis; two siblings, Connie (Frank) Hoffman of Denver and Larry (Sherry) Cluchey of Grand Rapids; his mother-in-law Edie Rudd; brother-in-law Doug (Tina) Rudd and several nieces, nephews and close family and friends who will remember Jeff saying "Live everyday like it's your last and one of these days it will be." Jeff was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, David Rudd. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Friday, July 31, 2015 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Roger Bennett officiating. The family will greet friends on Thursday (today) from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until Noon at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Jeff's name can be made to Hospice of Michigan, the Chippewa Lake Fireworks Committee (P.O. Box 321, Chippewa Lake) or the Charity of the Donor's Choice.
