Iris Delight Crofoot, age 81, passed away peacefully at home, July 1, 2006. She was born October 13, 1924 in Goodrich, the daughter of Clarence and Zella (Walterhouse) Callesen. Iris married E. Wayne Crofoot on March 13, 1943 in Freesoil, MI and then moved to Middleville to make their home. They raised their family in Barry County until the early 1980's, when Iris moved to Big Rapids where she has lived for over 20 years. Iris is survived by her loving family, including; Three children: Elaine (Burlin) Reed of Tehachapi, CA Edward (Sharon) Crofoot of Middleville, MI Elise Crofoot of Cheboygan, MI Four grandchildren: Andrea Reed of California Sean Crofoot of Middleville, MI Autumn Crofoot of Grand Rapids Justin (Abbe) Crofoot of South Bend, Indiana a sister: June Campbell of Manistee several nieces and nephews and long time friends and care givers; Marilyn and Frank Whipple of Rodney. Besides her parents, Iris was preceded in death by an infant son, Everett and a brother, Clarence Callesen. Funeral services will take place 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 7th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Elder William Martin officiating. The family will greet friends on Thursday, July 6th at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
